We are delighted to announce the start of the Autism Diagnostic Assessment Clinic – East Anglia (ADAC- EA), based in central Norwich, in the Charing Cross Centre.
ADAC-EA is an independent assessment clinic run by Dr Ekkehart F A Staufenberg, consultant neuropsychiatrist and senior lecturer (Hon). Ekkehart has over 35 years of experience in Autism assessment across the lifespan, with or without co-occurring conditions, particularly epilepsy. He is co-editor of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Gold Standard Diagnostics Tool for Autism and has contributed to the WHO International Classification of Diseases, neurodevelopmental and other mental health conditions as co-editor/editor for 12 years as part of an international research group.
ADAC-EA will use the latest international classificatory diagnostic standards and allow two to two and a half hours for each in-person interview. There will also be forms to complete beforehand to aid work in the face-to-face meeting.

Please note, an assessment can only take place once funding is confirmed and available on the day of the assessment for payment. Also note, ADAC-EA is a registered GiftAid donor to the AEA Charity and a substantial proportion of each assessment fee will be donated to AEA to further support autistic people and their families.
