| There have
been very advantageous changes to the Gift Aid Declaration scheme
that will benefit Asperger East Anglia greatly. From now on there
is no need to complete complicated Deed of Covenant documents. A simple
declaration (see below) needs only a signature from UK tax payers
and this enables Asperger East Anglia to claim a further 28p for each
£1 membership subscription and donation. The following questions
and answers explain what you can do to help increase Asperger Norfolk's
income.
Q. What do I have to
do to help you?
A. To help us reclaim tax on your membership subscription you will
need to complete the Gift Aid declaration form to say that you pay
UK tax. You must pay an amount of Income Tax (or Capital Gains Tax)
at least equal to the tax Asperger East Anglia will reclaim on your
membership fee or donation (currently 28p for each £1 you
pay) and want Asperger East Anglia to reclaim the tax.
Q. Do I have to complete
this declaration every time I renew my subscription or make a donation?
A. No, once you have completed
the form we can continue to reclaim the tax on any future subscription
or donation you make to Asperger East Anglia.
Q. What happens when
I no longer pay UK tax?
A. You should inform us if and
when you stop paying UK tax, as this scheme only applies to those
who do.
Q. What will it cost
me?
A. Nothing - there will be no additional
costs to you for using this scheme.
Notes:
- You must pay an amount of income tax and/or
capital gains tax that at least equals the tax deducted from your
subscription/donation.
- You can cancel this declaration at any time
by notifying Asperger East Anglia.
- If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can
claim further tax relief in your self - assessment return.
- If you are unsure whether your subscription/donation
qualifies for Gift Aid tax relief , call Asperger East Anglia
or ask your local tax office.
