RESPITE CARE

We are now offering that much needed break for exhausted parents and respite care is available to all our members. We are very grateful to Norfolk County Council Social Services through the Carers Grant for funding for this service for the next 2 years. The funding is not unlimited so any contributions would be gratefully received. All the carers are carefully selected for their suitability. Their knowledge of Asperger syndrome and their ability to cope in a caring environment is carefully assessed.

This project is extremely popular with both parents and children. It means at times of stress within the family we are able to provide a diversion and keep the family together by providing that much needed break from caring for a child with Asperger syndrome. The children themselves benefit and look forward to spending some quality time with their carers.
