Friends of Asperger East Anglia
After a very inspiring talk by Marion Wright from NNVS, at our AGM we decided to set up a “Friends of AEA”.
This concept works two ways:
It enables relatives and people who are regularly involved with people with Asperger syndrome who know of the struggle, to become a “Friend Member” and feel really part of the organisation and feel they are actively involved in making a difference. They will have the same benefits as parent members with various discounts etc. We are hoping to extend the discount list in the near future. As a “Friend Member” you won't have the same daily pressures that parents and carers have and so it is hoped that you will feel more able to hold the odd coffee morning or any other ‘Fundraising' event for AEA. It is surprising how much you can raise by just asking a few people to bring a friend and serve them coffee or tea, have a small raffle and have fun at the same time.
We want to develop “Friends of AEA” by forming a small committee who could come up with ideas and organise certain events. At the present moment the committee consists of Sue Kuzmic, Tina Sills and Marcella Olive.
If you feel you would like to help with raising some most needed funds for AEA then please let Marcella know on: 07990 598614 (if you can't get me please leave a message and I will ring you back!).

Just Giving
Justgiving is the leading charity fundraising website enabling ordinary people to raise extraordinary amounts of money for the causes they care about. Asperger East Anglia has registered with www.justgiving.com so that our supporters can now make donations to AEA through the ‘justgiving' website or set up fundraising pages. To set up a fundraising page, all you do is enter the details of your event; whether it is a sporting activity, anniversary or any other special event and then select AEA as your charity.
Once you have set up a fundraising page, you then email the address of the page to everyone you know and they can donate online by credit or debit card and get an email receipt. Set up a fundraising page at www.justgiving.com now and help AEA by raising those much needed funds.
