Support for parents/carers

We have trained Education Advisors who can provide information and support to parents/carers on educational issues relating to school aged children/young people who have or are thought to have Asperger syndrome and advise on education law, procedures, practices and guidance.

Education Advisors can:

• Help you prepare for meetings to discuss your child's educational needs and in some cases accompany you to meetings.
• Assist and support throughout the statutory assessment process.
• Advise on the contents of statements of special education needs and where necessary help present amendments to the wording.
• Support and help with Appeals and in some cases attend Tribunal hearings to help you put forward your case
